Improv in the BRIDGE

Graz is home to a healthy improvisational theater scene. And this scene is now not to be understood as a single scene of a theatrical performance. Then you would have to speak of many healthy scenes. Rather, it is an environment with scene meant in the people whose cause it is not, plays to memorize, but still like to organize a theater, find themselves together and thrive - and play theater.

In tough economic times, in which propagated often, one must move closer together, three improv groups said scene have done just that. BlankTon, theater floor and theater mobile play on the common notion row improvisers in the BRIDGE, the legendary event center in the grave road Graz. With improv! The BRIDGE has always had a big heart for music. Therefore, there is an exception this time on the first Tuesday of the month a music meeting in the BRIDGE.
Here new ways of music are explored: Off rigid schema, to a colorful coexistence of various directions and styles. Old and new, Landler and blues, button accordion and bouzouki, cajón and Teufelsgeige, in short, is permitted that is fun. And it's fun all in one round like-minded people.

You have the traditional Jewish music missed an update: Klezmer Reloaded. Inspired by jazz, folk, classical, funk, oriental sounds and French chansons found Maciej Golebiowski and Alexander Shevchenko their own personal access to klezmer. Since 2008 they have shared a musical fireworks ignite, the virtuoso spans the entire range between the shtetl and club.
Klezmer Reloaded create with ease the connection between tradition and the modern. Lightness and elegance combined with musical humor, temperament and exuberant playfulness opens to the public the door to new sounds. Golebiowskis clarinet like lost in brilliant improvisation and he himself sings sometimes a Polish tango. Shevchenko accordion responds with closely woven solos and would actually not stop ... jazz, folk, classical, funk, tango or oriental sounds invite new klezmer on to make him look as what it has always been: beautiful, touching music in many ways.
